Each battery has two grades: volts and ampere hours (AH or mAH). Unless the battery has a different chemical composition (NI-MH and Li-Ion batteries have different voltage ratings, even if they are used on the same laptop), the voltage of the new battery should match its original voltage. Most of our batteries have an ampere hour rating that is higher than the original battery in the device. This means that the runtime is longer (higher capacity) and does not cause any incompatibilities.
